How does the flooring process begin?
It begins with a complimentary, no-obligation in-home consultation. We’ll measure the project areas, review the existing conditions, learn about your flooring needs, and help you compare suitable options.
What types of flooring does Highmark offer?
We offer carpet, luxury vinyl plank, and hardwood flooring for residential projects. We’ll help you compare the appearance, comfort, durability, maintenance, and price of each option.
Do you provide in-home measurements?
Yes. Your first appointment takes place in your home, where we measure the space, review the layout and existing conditions, and discuss your flooring needs. This allows us to identify preparation, removal, furniture, stairs, transitions, and other details that may affect your project.
What is included in my project price?
Our pricing is designed to be all-inclusive for most flooring projects. During your in-home appointment, we’ll review the flooring, cushion or underlayment, existing-floor removal, standard furniture moving, installation, transitions, stairs, subfloor preparation, and any other details that apply to your home. You’ll receive a clear project price based on everything discussed, so you understand what is included before moving forward.
Will you remove my existing flooring and move furniture?
Yes. Our project pricing includes standard furniture moving and existing-floor removal for most projects. Before installation, customers should remove small, fragile, valuable, and personal items and empty furniture, drawers, shelves, and storage areas.
Why is subfloor preparation important?
Your new flooring performs best when installed over a clean, dry, stable, and properly prepared surface. We inspect the subfloor and explain any leveling, repairs, moisture concerns, or other preparation that may be needed. We also apply our D.U.M.M.B.O Spray to help eliminate odors and other issues.
How long does flooring installation take?
Most flooring installations are completed within one to two days, depending on the project size, flooring selected, removal requirements, subfloor preparation, stairs, and site conditions. We’ll review the expected timeline during your complimentary in-home consultation.
Is financing available?
Yes. Financing options are available through Synchrony Home for qualifying customers. Applications are completed securely through the lender, and approval, rates, and terms are determined by Synchrony. Learn More
